This is the National Library in Georgtown, Guyana - formerly known as the Georgetown Public Free Library - opened in 1909.
The citizens of Georgetown use this library for research.

Visit to South America - 2006

This private home was a great place to stay. It comes with a guard post in which a guard is always present. In the pictures you can see the guard in uniform who opens and closes the gate upon ones departure and arrival.

I heard so much about Guyana, South America, that I seized the oportunity to visit this developing third-world country in October 2006.

This is the private home where I stayed for five days, and enjoyed wonderful Guyanese hospitality.
