The Kissing Bridge - located in the center of the botanical gardens wherein is located ponds in which sea cows and manatees are harbored. This bridge derives its name from the purpose for which it has been most popularly considered to be used.
Many tropical birds can also be seen in this area.

The citizens of Georgetown use this library for research.

Visit to South America - 2006


This private home was a great place to stay. It comes with a guard post in which a guard is always present. In the pictures you can see the guard in uniform who opens and closes the gate upon ones departure and arrival.








I heard so much about Guyana, South America, that I seized the oportunity to visit this developing third-world country in October 2006.

This is the private home where I stayed for five days, and enjoyed wonderful Guyanese hospitality.
